April 6th, 2010 | By admin in Uncategorized | No Comments »

moving[1]I guess good things, because UNITS Mobile Storage of Milwaukee has a 5 star rating on Merchant Circle!  Here is what one remodeling customer had to say:

“Prompt, friendly service, both on drop off and pick up. Great product–clean, dry, no worries. Stored the contents of our family room in it for about two months while redoing the room, and everything was just as we put it in when it was time to unload. Very convenient–would use again, and highly recommend this company! “ – Kent

And here is another satisfied customer’s review from Google.

“First of all, I will never move again without using this kind of container, what a difference it made! I would surely use Mobile Units Storage such as I did late last year. They were extremely professional, yet very friendly, and quite a bit cheaper than other companies like them. They delivered a unit to my address, placed it perfectly where I wanted it, (the driver was super nice) I packed at my leisure, they picked it up when I was ready and took it to the new house. The nicest surprise…everything was intact and right where I packed it! Piece of cake! Great job MUS, I’m not easy to impress.‎” – Leeza

Get a Storage Unit and De-stress Your Next Move

January 12th, 2010 | By admin in moving | No Comments »
Let UNITS delivery your storage unit to your home.

Let UNITS delivery your storage unit to your home.

The average person moves 7 times during their life.  I know it sounds high, but I have moved 6 times in my adult life already.  I have used a friends truck/trailer, the rented moving truck and professional movers, but the next move will be with a storage unit.

My first 6 moves where before portable storage units where available.   I would have to go through the hassle of finding a rental truck available when I needed it, have a friend drive me to the rental truck office, which was never close to my house.  Then I would get the truck, after waiting in line, only to discover my rental truck was last used by a smoker and had squeaky breaks.  I would maneuver the truck to my home and then start the process of loading my belongings up the ramp.  I was fortunate to have friends help load the truck because it is hard work to carry belongings up that steep ramp.   One move we were caught in a rain storm, but we had to keep loading because I only rented the truck for one day.  I thought the ramp was hard to manage before, but when it was wet it became very slippery.   This is when you spring for lunch and treat your friends to homemade chocolate chip cookies.

After loading, I would drive to my new location and the entire process would start over, but in reverse order.  We would unload quickly because I only had one day.  I would race to gas up the truck and make it back to the rental truck office before it closed, being followed the whole time by a friend because I would need a ride back to my house from the rental truck office.   The moving day was filled with stress!

Now that storage units are available in Milwaukee there is an alternative to rental trucks for moving, unless you enjoy being stressed out.  Since the storage units are delivered to your home, you do not need to drive a rental truck through town.  You will have plenty of time to load and unload because one day costs the same as one month.  De-stress your move by packing and unpacking at your convenience and when the weather is good.  The storage units load at ground level so no more slippery ramp.   Moving is stressful enough, decrease that stress level and call UNITS Mobile Storage of Milwaukee for your storage unit at 414-476-8648.

De-Clutter Your Home Using Portable Storage

December 4th, 2009 | By admin in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Make your agent happy, de-clutter with a portable storage container.
Make your agent happy, de-clutter with a portable storage container.

Your house is on the market and your agent wants you to de-clutter (you know remove personal items, excess furniture, items not being used stored in closets) so your home appeals to a wider array of buyers.  That means you need to move your excess furniture and belongings off-site to make your home seem more spacious and inviting.  Remember, if you store your excess belongings on-site in your garage, basement or driveway, a potential buyer might think since you do not have enough room/storage in the house the buyer may not either.

So, what do you do now?  Most people procrastinate and do nothing.   It is a lot of work to rent a moving truck, load your belongings, and then unload them into storage only to do the same thing in reverse order once you find your new house.  To solve your problem, call for a portable storage container to be delivered to your house.  With the storage container at your house, you simply load your excess belongings at your convenience.  When you are finished and your agent thinks your house is ready to sell, you call for a pick-up and the storage container is delivered to a secure, heated warehouse until you are ready for delivery to your new home.  Your agent calls this process de-cluttering, but you just completed some of your packing and you are a step ahead!

It’s just that easy.   If you need help with your de-cluttering, call UNITS Mobile Storage of Milwaukee at 414-476-8648.  We specialize in portable storage!
